Hello World!
Just wanted to post a quick update on the project. Things are still very much in active development, so you might see things change and evolve over the coming weeks and months. I'm excited about the direction things are heading.
Why This Project Exists
I started this project out of frustration. I've been interested in the FIRE movement for a while, but most tools are very US-centric.
As Australians, our journey to financial independence is different. Superannuation changes the equation. Because we can’t access super until 60, many of us need a “bridge” portfolio to fund the years between early retirement and preservation age.
I wanted to build the tools I wish existed for my own journey: tools built with the Australian system in mind, helping model the path to FIRE and structure finances properly.
Built for Australia, Flexible for Everyone
While the early tools lean on Australian concepts (like super), the core models are configurable:
- Retirement ages
- Tax assumptions
- Withdrawal rules
- Country-specific inputs
If you're outside Australia and want specific local defaults (tax regimes, pension systems, healthcare assumptions), let me know. Real use cases shape the roadmap.
Everyone’s financial journey is different. The tools should reflect that.
